Your Fertility Assessment Gap Quiz

Find out how thorough your fertility testing really is. Gaps in testing are often the hidden cause of unexplained infertility, failed IUI, and failed IVF.

Question 01
Has your progesterone been tested at the right time of the cycle?
Progesterone must be tested 6–7 days after your confirmed ovulation — not automatically on Day 21.
Question 02
Have you had a full thyroid panel?
A complete panel includes TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and thyroid antibodies (TPO and TG). TSH alone misses autoimmune thyroid disease.
Question 03
Has your Vitamin D been tested?
Low Vitamin D is linked to implantation failure and higher miscarriage risk. The fertility-optimal level is above 40 ng/mL — not the standard lab cutoff of 20 ng/mL.
Question 04
Have you tested for Insulin Resistance?
Fasting glucose alone is inadequate in most cases. Silent insulin resistance disrupts ovulation, egg quality, and hormonal balance.
Question 05
Have you had full iron studies done?
Full iron studies means ferritin, transferrin saturation, and serum iron — not just a blood count. Iron depletion impairs ovulation long before anaemia shows up.
Question 06
Have your B12 and homocysteine levels been tested?
Elevated homocysteine is one of the most overlooked causes of recurrent miscarriage. B12 deficiency is extremely common in Indian vegetarians — and is a key driver.
Question 07
Has your partner had sperm DNA fragmentation tested?
Standard semen analysis does not check DNA integrity. 40% of men with "normal" semen analysis have elevated DNA fragmentation — directly linked to failed IVF and miscarriage.
Question 08
Has your full androgen panel been tested?
A complete panel includes DHEA-S, Total Testosterone, SHBG, and Free Androgen Index. Given India's high PCOS prevalence, partial testing commonly misses the real picture.
Question 09
Has your uterine cavity been properly assessed?
A basic ultrasound scans the ovaries but does not adequately assess the uterine cavity. Polyps, adhesions, and a septum require a 3D ultrasound, saline sonogram, or hysteroscopy.
Question 10
Have you been screened for reproductive tract infections?
Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma cause silent uterine inflammation with zero symptoms — they are rarely included in standard Indian STI screens, yet are a significant cause of implantation failure.
